Sabotaged myself today through that habit I mentioned in my last post called procrastination (I did say I do this very easily lol). My day started off later than usual because karma crept out from a corner in the sneakiest of ways to strike me down where I stood, leaving me with a lingering hang over!
I'm still processing my way through this letter that needs writing and so not a lot of work has been forged towards the development of this blog (Basically none at all). It's fear that holds me back, either that or my obsessive perception of it you see...
As I continue to find my feet whilst I'm blogging away, I'm beginning to feel inspired to build my focus towards aspects that I not only find interesting, but useful also for the future reader of this blog. Habits such as procrastination and perfectionism are things Im all too familiar with and therefore passionate to pick apart and address through my experience, but for now what Ill do is jot these down in a rumpled piece of paper somewhere, and return to it at the appropriate time.
Yo! I got you on the Radio!
Okay so yesterday a got a call from my friend and he near enough turned my day upside down and right side up when he told me he had a spot for me on the radio...Like...I literally haven't come close to releasing my very first single and suddenly theres an opportunity to hop on the radio? What gives?!
There's a habit somewhere in the 7 habits of highly effective people which informs the reader to always be prepared...I definitely wasn't prepared to hear the news my friend had to give because now I have to find an instrumental to write to from start to finish, enough to leave an impression on the hundreds if not thousands of listeners watching and viewers listening! (Erm Chris...yeah never mind).
I now have more on my mind than what my thoughts can process and my structures a little all over the place, do I forge ahead with the blog and my uni project or do I focus on this radio performance (which I've never done before by the way), oh the joy of joys!
Its near enough 7pm and I still haven't had a shower, I need to make a few calls and reply to a couple of people so Ill leave things here for now. Signing off is terrified and confused little old me (lol)
