At the moment it would be pretty difficult for me to say that I've got my music recording routine down to a t. I’ve got music piled so far and wide to the point I'm not sure about which song I should start working on first! To make matters worse, every day I seem to find myself on this platform flicking through beats and finding new songs that I could potentially work with!
I need to find a way to change my routine from hobby to business mode. Sometimes I listen to music as a way of decompressing, and this makes it difficult to differentiate between the times when I'm working on music and times when I'm relaxing with it. Like this morning for example, I was downstairs doing the dishes, and flicking through a bunch of beats on my phone humming whatever rhythm comes to my mind.
I'm going to have to find a way to organise all of my work into an easy to use and follow filing system. There's music that I want I need to create for two brands, music for different moods, music for different objectives and desires, music that represents different/multiple sides of me. I'm making a mountain of work for myself trying to do this in a make it as I go along approach.
Either way, for now I am happy with where I'm at. Even though I might be a little rusty in the music making process, .I'm still confident that I will find my feet again, and blend my talent together with the skills I've been developing in the entrepreneurial department.
