Friday the 8th of November 2024 and the title of today's reflection is going to be compartments. So I just had a conversation with a very great human being kind of like I was gonna have a word for him to be honest with you I think it had something to do with like
being a wanderer as in a wanderer of the earth a fellow wanderer of the earth and I was privileged enough to a certain degree to get feedback
from him after he checked out one of my pages on social media. He asked a very constructive question. He said, good stuff is on there, but where's the following? We got into a conversation and it was really interesting how I basically kind of like brought down the answer to that question and it's like you know I effectively told him that again like this is a work in progress kind of like the following
is a work in progress I also mentioned that if I'm not going to reach deep into my pockets which is something that unfortunately it's not something that I can do given my current circumstances I effectively have to not necessarily for the most part but it definitely involves kind of like going from person to person, face to face and then effectively building good relationships over time. Yes there are other kind of like organic means that don't effectively require such a
mechanical kind of process of having to kind of like grow a following but kind of like for now this is effectively how things are working for a significant part of the freaking way. Of course there's also really reaching out to the right people, collaborating with the right people and effectively growing with time as time goes on. But to bring it into compartments
for the very little time that I have available for this reflection, I also have to think about, I also have to divide my attention between the music that I actually want to make and the things that I write down
more so as a diary rather than a musical collection of entertaining music. And then there's also the compartment that involves effectively working with music to effectively entertain people. And all of these kind of like, both of these kind of like, I guess engagements take the form of different mediums. It could take the form
of like, kind of like drill, it could take the form of grime, it could take the form of hip hop, it could take the form of trap, all sorts of different kind of like sounds that I'm experimenting with at the moment because I'm still trying to discover who I am as an artist. But yeah, so all of these things have to be compartmentalized kind of like into and defined into that different spaces where I can effectively kind of like work and explore with my craft.
