Dillema

So, the title of today's reflection is going to be Dilemma. It's Monday the 30th of September 2024. And yeah, like right now I'm just basically still wrapping my head around, kind of like, not necessarily the structure, but the foundation or the mechanics of how I want to kind of

like roll out my music, kind of like going forward. So again, like the last song that I released, I believe was Rapping.

I released this song I think probably like closer to July, if not June of this year. And like, I personally thought that it didn't do too bad considering everything that I've experienced. However, I'm still in the process of trying to go beyond releasing the single song. Like effectively, kind of like the way that it works nowadays, you know, some of the documentaries that I've been seeing as of late have helped me to understand that originally it would have been just about the music

like you know we wouldn't have had smartphones, televisions or things that kind of like get our attention we would normally hear music on the radio or would hear music being played on a club and then this is effectively how a reputation and a brand will be built from an artist point of view. However because we have so much to entertain ourselves you know we have so many things that we can do with our phones, with the internet, with all of our digital devices. It's now come to the point where the song by itself

doesn't work anymore, especially when there is so much music in abundance that people don't feel compelled to effectively listen to somebody. As a matter of fact, there's also a situation, the issue, it almost works against our favor because there is so much music available People get very comfortable and people get very habitual with the music that they listen to and don't actually Not only do they not feel the need to effectively look for new music, but they also Like to play it safe

So people are more likely to stream a music that is very popular as opposed to streaming music that really and truthfully people wouldn't listen to If that isn't kind of like a motivation you know motivating factor for people to fake their streams and fake how many views they get I'm not sure what is but anyway I continue to digress and talk a little bit more about you know kind of like this dilemma that I'm having where I'm trying to effectively figure out like you know just the mechanical components of this idea that I have in mind for

unrolling a song in a way that makes it more about the song how it's packaged, kind of like what the package contents contain, how I can make the song itself downloadable, how I can make it absorbable, how I can make it, you know, how I can communicate a certain message. These are the sort of things that I have dilemmas about

on a daily basis, and it's one of the main fundamental factors why I haven't released music in a consistent fashion, because, you know, if truth be told, my music is 100% special, it is 100% unique in the sense of like there will never be another me again on this planet which is one of the reasons why whenever I put a song out it deserves more than just 15 minutes, than 15

minutes of limelight. That song should be promoted consistently, continuously over the years because it's always going to be somebody new. I'm always going to stumble into somebody who's never met me before, hasn't heard my music before and therefore my entire catalog is kind of like completely new to them. So I'm trying to find a system and I'm trying to find kind of like the mechanics to make that music promotable, make it as automated as possible but then also put myself in a position that when I communicate my message out into the world I am constantly promoting my music.
