Kingdom hearts was one of my all-time favourite games to play on the PlayStation two. As a matter of fact, when I think about it more and more, the freaking monster of a video game would still rank pretty highly on my modern list of favourite games to play!
I must admit at first I don't remember being particularly keen. Baring in mind I was only something along the region of five or six years old back then, I dunno I just found myself being intimidated by the complex controls, and the damn fearlessness required to clench through some of the scary scenes in that game!
I don’t know why, but for some reason I feel like that experience opened my mind up a little more. The design of the universes, the sheer attention to the detail of each character, their quirks and their traits; all of these things cracked my skull open a little bit, and slowly began to help me see how perhaps in the same way someone brought that vision to life, someone also brought life to our own.
This is just another one of those things that whilst simple at first, and easy enough to take the excitement out of deciphering it, add weight and gravity to this desire to create something of my own. As painful as it is, and as treacherous as the road may be ahead, this is something I have simply taken hold of with both hands, and it seems as though I will never let go of this chance to make my dream a reality.
