Easier To Be You

Writer's picture: Made EzeMade Eze

Friday the 25th of October 2024 and the title of today's reflection is going to be easier to be you. So yesterday I was sort of like talking about how hard it is to be me when really and truthfully like it's hard to be anybody really. Like of course difficulty varies from person to

person, condition to condition, environment to environment, so so on and so forth, class to class, etc, etc. And, you know, like again I reiterate, like I said earlier, like, you know, it's hard to effectively be alive in general, let alone kind of like hard to be me. But despite the fact that it is hard to be me, or I find sometimes that it is hard to be me, it is easier to remain being me, rather than trying to be somebody else. What do I mean somebody else? I mean effectively being somebody who already exists. So let's say for example we might walk around or live around certain people and see certain behaviors, certain mannerisms from characters that we want to embody because we believe that it is better to be them, when really and truthfully it is easier to be ourselves.

Like it's a lot easier and I guess it's more natural to effectively lean into the side of you that is effectively natural, naturally displaced, not effectively, you know, it's almost like a nature-nurture debate, right? I'm not effectively arguing about the parts of you that were effectively set in stone through kind of like social conditioning. I'm sort of like paying attention more so to who you are or who I might be naturally as a result of who I am via nature, which is effectively something that is a bit harder to define considering the fact that the difference between the nature and the nurture, finding the causes and effects

of nature and nurture are very difficult to set apart considering the fact that they effectively both have an impact on one's freaking character. But yeah, effectively what I'm trying to say is that it's easier to be who you are rather than trying to be somebody else, somebody who already it's easier to be who you are rather than trying to be somebody else, somebody who already

exists.
