Saturday the 31st of August 2024 and the title of today's reflection is going to be for two reasons. So as I'm kind of like you know working my way through as I'm kind of like working my way through my engagement on social media like mainly Instagram and other things like
you know kind of like liking people's stories, commenting, engaging, having conversations, networking and stuff like that. I'm beginning to think about like you know the video that I want to put out alongside the article
that I said I've been you know I've been writing about so again you know effectively the article that I'm going to feature on the section of my website that is effectively designed for anybody who wants to know the origin of how my story started. So you know I'm kind of like jumping ahead of myself. I'm getting muddled up with what I'm talking about here, but effectively what I want to do is effectively create a video, right, that will feature on my YouTube channel and it will go, you know,
it will again be, I guess, it will feature on the channel alongside that article that I've written, so that effectively it drives people back to that article and then it also creates an audio and visual format of that same story. However, with this particular video I'm going to be going into maybe to a little bit more depth. I'm going to be telling that story from a vocal point of view so that you know it kind of like creates a little bit of diversity. So people aren't listening to the same thing over and over again. Although repetition isn't too necessarily a bad
thing. So yeah like again like whilst I'm actually sitting here thinking about like you know whilst I'm engaging with people I'm sitting here thinking about finishing this article and effectively just kind of like polishing it and making sure that it's presentable both on a desktop version and the mobile version. I'm also thinking about how and where people can navigate to once they've read that article. These are all things that I used to worry about but nowadays I just concern myself with effectively how people
are going to navigate from point A to point B. It's very interesting considering the fact that for somebody who just wants to jump in a vocal booth and just record verse after verse, lyric after lyric, I really do have to concern myself with this nitty gritty aspect of website design and making sure it's basic and simple enough for people to navigate through. I have to concern myself with this role because either it's too expensive to pay somebody else or this dimension that I'm trying to create for people to really understand and
know who I am. It's just absolutely, I don't want to say ridiculous but this is effectively the reality of what it means to be an artist so the video that I want to create alongside this article right I actually want to split you know I kind of want to split I want to make it for two purposes I wanted to feature again on the desktop I want it to be a widescreen kind of that shot but then I also want it to be like a I want it to be a narrow screenshot.
So what am I talking about? So it's like, there are videos that are effectively designed to kind of like appear on the desktop and then videos that are designed to appear on the mobile. The videos that are designed to appear on the mobile effectively are like long screen,
as in like, you know, you will see them in full screen on your phone. In comparison to like, you know, on the desktop where like, you know, you see it as a wide shot and I'm effectively trying to kill two birds with one stone and make the exact same video but chop it up into different pieces so that it can appear once one of them can appear
on the on the wide screen and that same video can also appear so effectively what I'm trying to do is like you know I'm trying to get this video to appear in full so it's like a full maybe it's like a 10 minute or a 15 minute video if appears in full on the desktop but then I can also chop it up into little pieces and distribute it in snippets across my social media and You know, it's it's I want to say that it's
Exciting because it is it's a little bit nerve-wracking I guess but it's you know Fundamentally like, you know, this is just kind of like what I'm concerning myself with at the moment and I'm effectively like exemplifying the technicality and sort of like you know the amount of depth that goes behind the whole thought process of how to create content that will effectively engage and will connect and potentially that kind of build a relationship between build a relationship between myself, my audiences and the content that I have to deliver.
