Friday the 14th sorry Friday the 15th of November 2024 and the title of today's reflection is going to be give to receive so I've been doing a little bit of digging kind of like a spontaneous digging research that effectively kind of like became spontaneous purely because I was
mindlessly scrolling endlessly scrolling through TikTok and I ran into this post that was talking about kind of like what you need to do to kind of like grow faster. So effectively like the four metrics that the four sweet metrics that you know that most of us are effectively looking for kind of like some sweeter than others are the likes the comments the saves and the shares because these are the things that effectively nurture nurture our audience and kind of like you know grow our fan base or our community whatever it is that we're trying to do. And with all that being said it was very ironic and very interesting to hear and I'm going to read a little bit further into this to see how
true this actually is that in order for you to kind of get engagement you need to engage. So you need to get a like, so you need to like people's stuff to get likes for Instagram or let's say TikTok for example to effectively like broaden your reach if that makes sense which is very very interesting and I have seen some evidence of this in my own kind of like a kind of like a campaign to engage whatever it is it's very interesting considering the fact that like you know what we kind of like look at the realm,
the realm of the music industry, how everything is all about me, me, me, me, me. I want to receive, receive, receive, receive, receive, receive. It's very interesting to see how, like, you know, when it comes to engagement,
like, you know, the irony is that in order for us to get the attention that we want, we must give attention. And I would just leave that one right here.
