Tuesday the 7th of May 2024. Did I say it was a Tuesday? I think I did. Anyway, just literally finished my workout. Not feeling too bad, definitely feeling better than the way that I've been feeling for the past I would say six or seven days.
I seem to be experiencing like extreme highs and extreme lows in recent history when it comes to my journey. Music-wise I'm not really getting a lot done because again as I'm sure I've written and spoken about this hundreds of times before there is a confliction between the life that I want to live and the life
that I have to live now because of uh I don't know really, yeah because of circumstances, like, you know, because of the conflict between the life that I want to live and the life that I have to live and the things that I haven't done yet in order to establish the life that I want to live.
But anyway, one of the things that I wanted to touch upon briefly today was identity, especially when it comes to identity as a music artist, as a musician, as an artist in general. But one of the things that I wanted to touch upon and the reason I wanted to touch upon this is because for anybody listening to this, it's very, very important to know yourself.
It's also very important if you don't know yourself to know that you're probably in a state or in a position where you don't know yourself yet. And the reason why it's important is because as you do begin to learn who you are, you begin to learn how to represent who you are in the way in which suits or in a way in which you believe fits the aesthetic of who you are naturally. Because as soon as you're able to understand and know who you are, you will be able to stand out from a crowd of thousands
of people, thousands of different artists, you will be distinguished, like you will be distinguishable is what I'm trying to say. And the danger of not knowing yourself is putting yourself in a habit or in a cycle where you're effectively doing the same thing as everybody else or you're trying to be like everybody else or that one person or that one person that everybody's trying to be like and when that happens it's very very difficult for somebody to become
invested into you when there's like thousands of other people just like you that they could easily get invested themselves into if that makes any sense. So, like yeah it's very important to know yourself, figure who you are, figure what that looks like, what that sounds like, what that tastes like, smells like and how it makes people feel and then just run with it.
