Letting Myself Grow

Writer's picture: Made EzeMade Eze

I’m tired as f**k right now but I’m trying my very best to reflect upon this song I was trying to review yesterday. It’s a piece that reminds me a lot about “He’s Not Into You” by Enny and “Hallucinations” by DVSN.

After listening to it a few times I’ve been able to extract the topic that the theme of this song lives in and I think it’s safe to say that topic is relationships.

I’ve been taking my time with this aspect of my blog development but I think I’m etching myself a little closer to where I’m aiming to be, and that’s at the point in which I can introduce weekly promotions that will in turn organically increase the awareness of my blog and my brand.

The way this works in my mind, and the way I hope this will work in practice as well is that I’ll publish a post either about an artist or one of their songs, and if I do enough of those I’ll build a community of specific audiences that will want to network with the artists I write about.

This isin’t something that I’m busting at the seems to admit, but as an artist myself, the second someone shares my songs or writes something related to me on their socials, I want to share that piece of information with the world I’m already connected to.

This is the reason why this idea seems to work so well in my mind even though I haven’t put it into practice yet. Artists want to be seen, heard, and seen to be seen by others. It’s the reason why I can A. Become valuable if I can provide a platform where artists can be seen and B. Become valuable if I can make artists seen to be seen by a reputable platform.

Every time I publish a post about an artist, that artist will want to share that post on their socials, and when their audiences stumble into that post…they will see the title of my blog, effectively creating organic exposure for both myself as well as the artist in question.

Stuff like this doesn’t keep me up at night, but it definitely gets me out of bed in the morning.
