Tuesday the 30th of July 2024 and the title of today's reflection is going to be monkey see monkey do Now there's a very brilliant creator out there and he goes by the name. I am Supa for life I just got off the phone to him and we were actually talking about a Signature template
that he actually applied to some of the content pieces that he has been promoting for other artists. It's a very fancy way of me saying like look he's somebody that just basically knows a bunch of artists and he was just basically sharing his content, you know, their content on his Instagram story. But
one of the things that I really favored about the pattern and the strategy, you know, the means, the creative means by which he actually like displayed his, you know, all of these stories was that they looked very cohesive. So irrespective of whether he was promoting like an R&B artist or a rap artist, it was all done with this particular template that made it look, I don't know, the content looks shareable for lack of a better way of putting it. And it kind of sparked a conversation that reminded me about the benefits and the whole
essence of effectively artists supporting other artists. Because like, you know, on one hand, on one hand, while somebody might believe that, you know, by sharing other artists work, they are effectively taking attention away from themselves, they are actually bringing more attention to themselves.
Because again, the way that social media works, the way that social media works is that people don't necessarily come to you for you, they come to you for themselves. So if you're able to provide like you know a different you know, a plethora or maybe like a range of different pieces of work,
but let's say for example one minute you're promoting an R&B artist or you know an R&B song and then you're promoting a metal song or a rap song or a Afrobeat song or an Amapiano song, like you know, in between all of these songs of course you can have your own song, but now you're creating this kind of like real or you're creating this kind of like story that people will be interested in because you are now providing people with, you know, a variety of different songs to listen to. And it all just effectively boils down to that artist supporting other artists because now by me looking at what
I am super for life is doing, I am also inspired to repeat the same process, something that yes, I have thought about before, but effectively, like especially here in the UK, if we learn and we capture the ability of effectively sharing each other's work and using other artists' work to our own leverage, then effectively we will put ourselves in a position where we can all benefit. Better and far better than we would benefit if we were just trying to do all of this on our own.
