Monday the 29th of July 2024 and the title of today's reflection is going to be My reason why. So the reason kind of like why I'm doing this and it's almost something that I have to remind myself about on this you know on a daily basis because kind of like you know journeying into
the whole process of becoming a you know a famous artist of any kind whether it's popular whether it's reggae, whether it's jazz, soul, whether it's rap or whatever it is. That image and that notion has always been painted by
the things that we've seen on television and I know I've spoken about this at length on numerous occasions already. The artist that effectively we want to become is influenced by the artist that we see on television and that's the artist that is surrounded by fame, surrounded by glory, surrounded by money, surrounded by sex, surrounded by drugs, surrounded by anything that they could wish for and ask for is effectively like the image that effectively influences the type of artist that we dream to be.
And ultimately I've come to the realization that all of those outside notions are not going to be the things that are going to give me ultimate long-lasting happiness. What's going to provide me with happiness actually when it comes to the whole notion of like you know my reason why is coming to the realization that the reason why I am creating the music that I am creating is because I have a story to tell. That story is my story.
It's the story that effectively encompasses all the things that I've been through, all the things that I'm going through, will go through and all the things that I have learned, I'm learning, I will continue to learn through those experiences. It's something that brings great joy and brings great delight to my very being because it's almost like something that reminds me that I am alive. It reminds me that I do have a life, I do experience things and I enjoy telling stories about them. You know, I enjoy sharing
these stories and I hope that one day these stories will be able to resonate with the hearts and minds of the people who stumble upon my work. Finally before leaving I just wanted to add like you know it's this notion like you know once I've understood my why it has completely informed the entire you know the entire process behind everything that I make so now that I've got music that I know that I can release, music that I know that I'm proud of, the music that I know that I am happy you know
happy you know that I'm happy about, I want to be able to tell the story and I want to be able to convey that message through kind of like a content creation and through social media in a way that people begin to slowly understand like you know the whole big picture behind you know what it means to be me I guess and what it will affect and you know ultimately mean for them to be them.
