No New Signatures

Wednesday the 8th of May 2024 and you know it's another day in the life of your future favorite rap artist and I think I just finished I just finished watching a video that was covering the whole situation that's happening between Drake and Kendrick Lamar and this video

kind of like went into the details like the actual behind the scene business details that are taking place between the business owners that are connected and related to both the artists and I found it really

interesting to just observe that because um you know I was you know these are things that although they don't really have anything to do with me personally because I'm still very very early in my career to the point in which none of this is really relevant to like what I'm doing at the moment. I still found it really really interesting to watch and observe how like you know certain kind of like events could lead to people

eventually like putting themselves in very very tough kind of like business situations. So from Drake's angle that there's a whole array of business partners and business owners connected to the NFL, NHL, at least in so far as what is being reported anyway. I'm not entirely certain if any of this information is true, because it is the internet after all. But it is pretty funny to see how all of these partners that are connected to this artist are now kind of like side-eyeing,

which effectively means like, you know, they're looking at him with a little bit of concern, wondering whether it is safe to continue to do business with this person because it's now like, you know, the situation between the two artists, the beef or the disagreement between the two artists is now beginning to bleed into the business aspect of things and it's beginning to affect money. And you know it's so funny that I've said this, you know it's so funny that I'm watching this because it's like maybe it's my confirmation bias but I've always been you know preaching

about how you know money is important in the aspect you know in the aspect of your personal career irrespective of whether you're making music for the sake of the art or making music for the sake of the business. Whether you're trying to set up an e-commerce brand or whether you're trying to develop a cult following that are effectively kind of like gathered together for the sake of this beautiful art that you're putting out there. And it's just one of those things where I'm beginning to learn slowly but surely that the less signatures I put down on paper, especially at this point in my career, the less signatures

I sign, you know, the less contracts that I sign for now, considering the fact that I'm inexperienced and I don't know a lot about business, the less signatures that I sign, the better. Because, like, I find it particularly funny how Drake is in this situation, he's 22 situation where like you know he is effectively his reputation as a rap artist is at stake because he is having to back down or maybe retreat from you know kind of like a an honorable exchange between you know another artist

although at this point I could say that it's very very much dishonorable considering all the allegations and everything that's kind of like been everything that's kind of like been said but you know it's it's funny that he's having to retreat from a situation that where you know he's having to retreat from a situation where honorably you would kind of like return the exchange if somebody says something about you you return that

you know you know you return that that sentiment kind of like you know that is considered the honorable thing to do is you know it's like you're standing up for yourself. And it's funny to see how he's having to sort of like dance on eggshells here purely because of the amount of signatures and the amount of contracts that are connected to his brand as an artist, which is quite funny. I'm beginning to learn that signatures, whilst they're not the worst thing on the

face of the planet, especially like in a during like the initial stages of one's music career, it's important to like really read the finer details and understand the implications that one may put themselves in if they end up like in a compromising position. Let's say, for example, they're out and about,

they get into a drunken fight and then they now lose, you know, support from their brands and the deals and all the things that they've signed and stuff like that. I'm basically learning how to be as independent as possible especially they kind of like when I'm starting out and I'm just kind of like trying to get my name out there.
