That’s a wrap! The Break Da Bar Cypher event is done, dusted, and now I’m moving on to the next event. I must admit I performed a little better than what I expected, but I still left the stage feeling like I could have done so much more.
Going into it from the point in which I left my house my energy levels weren’t exactly there. More importantly my attitude was off and the only person I can hold accountable is myself for that. After having worked for 60 hours and having had barely written or rehearsed any cypher ready lyrics I dunno, mentally I threw the towel in before I even left my house to head over to bow in East London.
I can be grateful to myself for doing my best though, and days like these can be there for me to learn from my mistakes and come through 100 times more prepared. I guess for some reason I have this bad habit of drilling it into my skull that there’s no such thing as second chances.
The best part of my performance was during the warm up / mic check and that’s the thing that grinds my gears reflecting back on it: The fact that the best part of my performance wasn’t even recorded on camera!
In any case I’m sure the content will soon be edited and uploaded for the whole world to see. I’m not exactly proud of my performance but at the sae time, Im excited to see how the finished result turns out.
