The question is…how does anyone know how bad they truly want something? As a quick introduction to this question I quickly want to reference something I saw online the other day: “The problem starts when you expect people to live according to your opinion on how they should live their life”.
This quote came to mind because I struggle to keep my mouth shut about certain things, and I guess one of those things concerns our desires, and the things that we ultimately sacrifice as a means to obtain them.
Lately I haven’t been of the opinion that people actually desire the things they claim to desire. I often question this because when It finally comes to the things that need to be done in order to obtain said desire, I tend to interact with a completely different person to the person that was yapping on about how much they want this, and what they’re willing to do to get that.
So now back to the question, how does anyone know how bad they truly want something? Well in my opinion, when a person can learn how to love the things they hate to do for the sake of what they want, that will be the tell tale sign that they want something bad enough that they will go and get it.
People NEVER talk about the negatives when it comes to their desires, and quite frankly I’m of the opinion that there’s not a lot in this world that we can obtain that won’t come without a cost or a downside. When somebody can talk about these negatives in the same way they talk about how much they love their desires, that is when they’ll know that they want something bad enough that they’ll be willing to go out there and get it.
