Sunday the 15th of September 2024 and the title of today's reflection is going to be quarter to. So like I've spent today just basically looking at Pinterest trying to basically absorb some inspiration for the way that I want to display effectively like the rollout of not necessarily the
rollout but the way that I want to display a piece of writing. So I've been effectively working on my blog for I think at least two years now. I've been
effectively working on the structure, working on the presentation, working on the functionality and I continue to kind of like work on expanding it until the whole image and the whole brand and the whole idea of Diary of a Rap Dragon makes sense. So when I kind of like scroll through it, you know, like again, the way that I actually want it to function anyway is that I want it to effectively serve me as a platform that I can use to market my own work, share my own work, also to use it as a platform that
can welcome the eyes and ears, the minds and the voices of people that want to communicate with me, want to express their own opinion, want to express their views towards a shared interest, whether it be music, whether it be art, whether it be gaming, whether it be poetry, these are things that I'm not massively keen on, however I'm keen on them enough to effectively host a conversation. I wanted to serve it as that, you know, as that platform, but then at the same time I also want it to serve as a platform that can effectively showcase the works and the arts of other people, especially like, you know,
other rap artists, other musicians, other people that are other content creators, I would say at this point. And I kind of like want it. I want the two elements to effectively blend together. So like in this, you know, rather than them being superimposed onto each other or them being tacked on, I wanted to serve it. I want the platform to effectively kind of like illustrate a smooth blend between you know so effectively kind of like hosts content that is about my personal journey that
is about my deeply personal journey but then at the same time in the same way so effectively the way that it will work is that somebody I want a visitor or a viewer to be able to stumble onto my site to read about you know kind of like the things that I go through the things that I you know my own creative kind of like content, I want them to be able to engage with that but then also at the same time also have the same equal opportunity to stumble upon the work of somebody else, which I personally think delivers a unique
spin to like my blog website. The thing is that we have had in the past, you know, blog websites that are effectively showcasing the works of everybody in general, nothing personal. There is effectively a brand and it effectively hosts the works of people and other people and that's what it does. We've had websites that are deeply personal, websites that are purely just about the artist. However, we have never really had an artist who effectively kind of like also features the works of other people on their own website and that's
effectively where I want to kind of come in and get creative. So like the whole day I've effectively been spending some time trying to think about how I want like a piece of content to effectively be displayed. For example on my Instagram story when I'm talking about somebody else's work or when I'm showcasing somebody else's work. I want it to be deep, I want it to be meaningful, impactful. I want it to be aesthetic, aesthetically pleasing to the eye. I want it to be iconic and I want it to
effectively like serve the artist in the best way possible. It's been interesting but I'm running out of time. I'm going to effectively dust off this reflection and then I'm going to go out and work. Hopefully I'll see if I can come up with some more ideas as my day goes along.
