This will probably turn out to be a pretty long entry. Right now I’m thinking about a lot of things, and in no particular order one of them is planning to go out at some point before the end of the month to do some filming.
It’s really hard to say that there’s a specific reason why I want to do this because there’s so much in one day that I want to accomplish.
On one hand I’m trying to network and collaborate with an artist I met a while back (keeping up appearances apparently is a thing), he’s got a video he’s been wanting to shoot and so I thought I could help him with that.
There’s also another video for a song I conceptualised that I want to shoot some b roll for, some exploration and experimentation that I want to do for future shoots, and some stuff I want to try out to start planning the production of monthly content creation. That’s one end of the pond.
In another end of the pond I’m thinking about the technical admin stuff no fan or team member will ever see, but will experience as a result of its working functions if I manage to set it all up correctly.
Stuff like learning if and how I can automate the process of generating personalised screen savers that come with each single we release, the overall look and feel of the blog itself, how accessible it is to navigate, the features that need to be finalised etc.
Of course with all of that doesn’t come without the need new content that I want to roll out, the way in which it will appear on the website space and the exact space where I will want to feature it in. That’s another end.
Somewhere in the middle is the networking side of things where I hope to make some serious headway this year. I’ve done this long enough to realise there’s two types of audiences, and some of our audiences will be artists themselves or have their own businesses.
Gaining casual listeners for now is still some sort of foreign myth but building a community of artists in comparison is a walk in a park that shouldn’t be skipped out this year.
With that being said I’m anticipating that there will be hundreds of artists to talk and work with. I want my sites to be filled with their work and I can’t wait to get started on my first drafts but these things are gonna take time.
There’s a system that I don’t stop banging on about that I want to put in place. So far I’m really happy with the progress I’ve made with my reflections, but I’ve only been able to keep that up because of a specific system that I set up beforehand.
There’s a lot more that I’m thinking about somewhere further back in the infinite loops I’ve got playing in my mind, but for now this is what I can jot down so far.
