Okay, so Thursday the 13th of June 2024 and I'm probably going to make a longer video about this later in the future because I don't think that two minutes is long enough to appreciate just how complex and how I guess how deep like this entire topic is but I feel like
over the last couple of days I've come to the realization that whilst I do understand and I do appreciate the implications that perfectionism can have on the heart and the mind of a creator, over the years I have failed to appreciate just how badly my perfectionism, my personal experience coming
from the urban culture that I come from, it's a culture that is a pull up or pull down culture. So you're like you're even being pulled up, you're either getting praised or you're getting absolutely torn apart for the stuff that you create. This is something that I've personally come to a conclusion to and it's something that I've realized. In urban culture we have endorsed some of the biggest and greatest brands that you hear of today and whenever you try to start something of your own,
usually people revert back to the typical, if it's not a particular brand, then it's rubbish and if it's not a known brand then it's definitely rubbish and if you are not endorsing into that brand then you're also rubbish. And it's created this intense kind of like degree of fear that basically doesn't allow me to release anything less than perfect and even when I do release something it's still
not perfect anyway. And so with that being said it's like this is just kind of like what I'm going through. I'm hoping to just basically talk about this more because I do want to crack it open like a tin of beans and you know explore it deeper because it is something that's important to talk about.
