The Meaning Of Happiness

Writer's picture: Made EzeMade Eze

I must admit right now I’m feeling pretty grateful for having had the opportunity to build this field / journey for myself. I don’t think about it often but when I do I realise that the truth is out there somewhere, and each and every single one of us over time have developed a means by which we can get to that truth. None of these means are perfect, some of them are better than others but all in all, we’ve been able to prove that obtaining truth is not straightforward, and each of us get to that truth in our own way.

This is why perspectives exist, and why in some ways we skew truth in a way that makes more sense to some individuals as oppose to others. In my case, the camera, the sound recorder and the media are most if not all the ways in which I’ve arrived to my version of the truth, which is why if I was to write about happiness it would come out in a way that’s very distinctive from somebody who has lets say used geography to arrive to their version of the truth.

And when it comes to happiness…well without writing or reflecting over it excessively I’d say that happiness means to be embracing and acceptant of one’s circumstances irrespective of whether their circumstances favour them or not. Unfortunately my understanding does not lead me to believe that happiness is a picture, a frame that can be held and mounted on a wall. Happiness is more like a series of frames that when joined together form a film of some sort, and along with the frames that make us feel happy to be alive comes the frames that make us feel very much the opposite.

This is a theme that I’m happy and grateful to have the opportunity to explore. I realise this more and more as I continue to practice my craft in my efforts to build a successful music business.
